Fitness has always played a huge role in my life. In my 20’s, working out consisted of intense cardio – mainly running long distance and spin classes. But despite these high-calorie-burning sessions, 6 days a week, my body always looked the same.
In my 30's, I began working out with a personal trainer. Through resistance training my body became leaner, stronger and more athletic than ever. I was seeing results and the gratifying transformation sparked a major life change.
I had felt stuck for a while. I had a "good" life. I had a corporate job in which I had a lot of responsibilities, was paid well, and enjoyed good benefits, but I felt unfulfilled. I wanted to do something I was excited about and where I could make an impact. But, I didn’t know what that was.
It took me a long time to get clear about what I wanted. During that time, I felt frustrated and guilty for not being more excited about my life. But, I finally decided, after 15+ years working at some of the world’s most iconic brands, including Madison Square Garden and The New York Times, I left corporate America to exercise my passion for fitness.
As a Personal Trainer, I have many helped people improve their fitness and nutrition. But, even when people feel physically strong and healthy, some are still stressed, unfocused and unhappy. And, that bothered me.
I realized I needed to expand my scope to help my clients in ALL aspects of their lives—relationships, career, personal life—for them to feel fully satisfied. With that goal in mind, I became a Life Coach.
What I've learned in my studies to be a Life Coach has profoundly changed my own life. I went from feeling stuck, anxious, frustrated and unmotivated to feeling happy, peaceful and excited about my life.
There are simple concepts that can make an enormous difference in how you feel and approach life. We all have the power to feel happy, motivated and fulfilled. Seriously. If you are open to looking at things in new ways and doing some work, you'll be able to alter your life in ways you may not have thought possible.
My job is to help people transform their bodies and their minds. And, I love what I do. I've made many sacrifices for this life change but each day I wake up feeling grateful that I can help people feel good, change their lives and achieve their goals.
