Take Responsibility for Your Happiness
Very often, we think that if people just acted a certain way or if a circumstance was different, THEN we could be happy. The fact is that WE CONTROL whether we are happy or not. Why do we give away that control??
One of our greatest powers is the power to control our thoughts. At any moment, under any circumstances—no matter what anyone else does—YOU get to decide what you think. And, what you think, determines how you feel.
Don’t look for other people to make you happy. Think about what you’re looking for someone else to provide (approval, acceptance, forgiveness, motivation…) and figure out a way to give it to yourself. You have the power—use it!
